The stark prominence of the elite ethnicity of the Arabs, embodies Royalty, inspired by their culture, land, and history of the Arab region.

Zaid Farouki’s showcased a 6 look installation at the Arab Fashion Week, five decadent looks were presented, which included a modern interpretation of male traditional clothing & headpieces in modern colors and intricately hand-embroidered with the brand’s taglines such as “I AM شرقي (oriental)”, “I AM عربي (Arab)”, and “ عروبتي عزوتي (Being Arab Is My Pride)”.

Zaid transformed himself into an artist during the show, hand-painted life, the sixth look, the model became the canvas, and Zaid hand-painted live during the fashion show with شرقي (oriental), عربي (Arab), وطني ھو تاریخي (I am my land), and عروبتي عزوتي و إلھامي (Being Arab Is My Pride & Inspiration).”

The installation is a strong commitment to our roots, heritage and culture, fulfilling that resolution to finally immerse yourselves into the culture. The guests were amazed, at the designer’s pride and loyalty in being Arab, with his Arab roots, it will always be very deep and his source of inspiration, no matter how Zaid Farouki grows internationally.   

The collection was visibly a reflection of Zaid Farouki’s own identity, offering garments with a decidedly Arab-American spirit. The pieces featured a combination of structured and unstructured baggy silhouettes, the dishdasha, in various colors, with an Arab touch. Zaid blended the modern clothes with his collection, retaining the essence of Arab culture and heritage, with the suave modern look.
